Our Head Girls and Senior Prefect Team have done a fabulous job all year of setting positive examples for our students, and showing great initiative and leadership, particularly during this strange school term.

As they prepare to hand over their duties to the next year group, they once again went above and beyond to make a video message to all of our students across the world.

Although we are all sad that we cannot celebrate our Upper Sixth students’ hard work and achievements in person, our Senior Prefect Team wanted to say thank you for all the support they have received over the year, and spread one final message of ‘Stay Gutsy – Keep Connected – Be a Team!’

"It has been a pleasure working with the Senior Prefect Team this year” said Director of Sixth Form Mr Stephenson. “They have continually looked to enhance all areas of school life and ensured that student voice was heard and acted upon. They leave behind a legacy of strong, innovative leadership and I have every confidence they will continue to succeed in the future. The Senior Prefect team were responsible for many "firsts" at QAS including the Freshers Fair for the new L6 and the Raising and Giving week. They will be truly missed but have inspired the new prefect team to continue their excellent work."

Assistant Director of Sixth Form Mrs Balderson added “Individually they had their strengths but when they came together as a 10 they were at their strongest, as was demonstrated by an incredible RAG week where we raised a huge amount of money for 5 incredible charities.”

We would like to say a huge thank you to Head Girls Millie and Hazelle, Deputy Head Girls Kerrie, Daria and Isobel, and Senior Prefects Emmeline, Sylvia, Charlotte, Sophia and Hauwa, for all the amazing work they have done in leading the School this year. They have set a great example to the next Senior Prefect Team who will follow in their footsteps.

Stay gutsy, keep connected, and be a team!
