Alumnae Sixth Form

This week we welcomed Queen Anne's alumna Kitty Williams back to school to offer advice to our current Sixth Form about University life.

Kitty left QAS in 2019 and recently graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a First in BA Business and Marketing Management. She talked to our students in detail about her experience of the university application process and the importance of making the right choice even if it is not your first choice.

Kitty emphasised how the transition period from school to university was a big step and she found it daunting at first to leave behind the close knit QA community that she had known since she was 11 years old. However she soon settled into life at university, including being captain of the lacrosse team and made many friends for life. In addition, she has stayed in close contact with a large group of her QA friends also via social media and the QA Society, “I have connected with lots of my QA friends on LinkedIn which is a really good way of networking”.

Since leaving university, Kitty embarked on a 4 month trip around South and Central America and is now busy raising awareness of CPR via interviews, podcasts, charity fundraising and training days, following a recent life-changing experience.
