QAS Alumna, Hannah Shirley is a Commercial graduate at Aston Martin, joining the company 18 months ago following her graduation from the University of Leeds with an MSc in Enterprise & Entrepreneurship.
Hannah left Queen Anne’s School in 2017 and was keen to return to share her journey with our current Sixth Form students.
Her presentation alongside Ellie Fulton, Design Engineer, helped students to understand the careers on offer at Aston Martin, the recruitment process and how competitive graduate recruitment is. With a 2% success rate for applicants to Aston Martin, Hannah and Elizabeth reiterated to students the need to stand out, to have something different to talk about, and to be their own champion.
Students were then treated to the opportunity to sit in an Aston Martin DBX V8 and ask further questions about working for the company.
