The role

We are seeking to appoint a qualified, enthusiastic Finance Manager. This is a full time role on an all year round basis, reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations.

The successful candidate will:

  • Assume overall day to day responsibility for the finance function, ensuring adequate processes and controls are in place
  • Take responsibility for accuracy of accounting records, leading on annual audit
  • Line manage a small finance team; accounts, billing and payroll
  • Support the Foundation with the preparation of annual statutory accounts
  • Develop and prepare regular management information, including accounts, budgets and forecasts reporting to Governors and internal stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience required

The role

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Payroll and Benefits Co-Ordinator to complete payroll processing, pension schemes and benefits arrangements such as maternity pay. The postholder will form part of a small finance team, located within the Bursary office at the School.  

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a payroll coordinator and ideally in an educational setting
  • Good knowledge of legislation relevant to payroll, and educational payroll in particular
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Comfortable with MS Excel and its analytical functions, also Word and Outlook
  • Attention to detail and ability to complete queries to a satisfactory conclusion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to answer staff queries and provide support

The primary role of the Graduate Assistant is to work within the boarding houses, getting to know the girls and building a relationship of trust with them.   • Assist in the smooth running of the House, liaising closely with the House Parent/s and their team
  • Plan and deliver a range of engaging evening activities for the boarders
