On Friday 28 November, Upper Sixth student Avyanna, curated a fundraising flower sale for the multi-award-winning period product social enterprise Hey Girls… outside the restaurant at lunchtime.
Hey Girls… are revolutionising periods, as the only social enterprise that donates 100% of their profit to funding the fight to eradicate period poverty. Avyanna’s fundraising event was called ‘Girls’ Empowering Movement Benefit’ which included a flower sale of pink carnations for £2, and a ‘leave a mark’ experience where the students added lipstick prints and names to show their support for the cause.
The turnout was incredible with girls from all year groups and staff; we are looking forward to supporting more student led events later in the year.
