First Aid Sixth Form

Lower 6 students at Queen Anne’s recently took part in a comprehensive First Aid training session, equipping them with practical skills and the confidence to respond effectively in emergency situations.

The training provided students with hands-on experience in a range of essential first aid techniques, including CPR, assessing casualties and responding to common medical emergencies. Through a combination of demonstrations and practical activities, students learned how to remain calm under pressure and take appropriate action when someone requires assistance.

As well as developing important life-saving skills, the session encouraged students to think about the responsibility that comes with caring for others and the importance of being prepared for unexpected situations. The training forms part of Queen Anne’s commitment to providing students with opportunities to develop valuable skills beyond the classroom, helping them become capable and compassionate young adults.

Students engaged enthusiastically throughout the session, practising techniques and building their understanding of how first aid can make a significant difference in an emergency.

The experience was both educational and empowering, providing knowledge that students can carry forward into university, the workplace and everyday life.

We are proud of all the students who participated and embraced the opportunity to learn skills that could one day help save a life.
