Sixth Form Lecture Talk

Beth Barker, Third Year Mental Health Nurse apprentice, visited Queen Anne's to give a career talk to L6 and U6 students and explain her experiences of working at Broadmoor Hospital.

Social Sciences students learnt how the theories they study are applied in real life practice and Beth ran an excellent Q and A session.

“It was a really informative talk, in which I was particularly interested in learning about the high standard of care that Broadmoor provides its patients with” Maddie D, U6.

“The talk was both interesting and engaging to ask questions first-hand, that are relevant to our A Level courses in Psychology and Criminology” Izzy H, U6.

“One thing I found particularly interesting was to understand about the day to day lives of the staff and patients in Broadmoor hospital. Specifically, learning about the speakers more emotional experiences with morals when dealing with high profile patients was very thought provoking” Lara R and Isla F, L6.
