Phase 3: Sport: The Big Vision

Queen Anne’s is once again a force to be reckoned with on the sports field, thanks to the talent, dedication and ambition of the girls and staff.  All this despite facilities which limit the girls’ ability to train year-round, regardless of the weather or time of day.

In September 2016, we opened a new fitness suite which has transformed the girls’ training.  The old fitness suite was converted into a much-needed additional dance studio.

We are now working on the plans for the outdoor facilities – Phase 3 of the development plan.

We have an ambitious, phased development plan to take Queen Anne’s to new levels of excellence and to prepare our girls for an ever more challenging world. Next up: let's give Queen Anne's the sport facilities it deserves.

We are now planning a major development of our sports facilities, to include a full-size 3G artificial turf pitch (ATP), lights (for our existing tennis courts and the ATP), additional changing rooms and levelling and drainage of the grass pitches.

This all amounts to a game-changer for Queen Anne’s sport and will bring big benefits for every girl.

‘From October right through to Easter, weather and darkness really limit what we can do. After prolonged rain and after a few matches, our lacrosse pitches become unplayable. With lights around our netball pitches, and with the addition of a floodlit 3G pitch, all of this changes. The benefits would flow right across our sports provision.’
