Queen Anne's hosted their own Macmillan Coffee Morning last Friday to raise money for cancer research! Raising money at a Coffee Morning will help everyone with cancer to live life as fully as they can.

The Macmillan Coffee Morning has grown in popularity over the years and has become one of the largest and most successful fundraising events in the UK. It's a simple and enjoyable way for people to make a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer while sharing a cup of coffee and a slice of cake!

Each Charter, baked, bought and sold all kinds of delicious treats in support of the fantastic charity! It was a great opportunity for all year groups to work together within their charters to raise as much money as they could!

Holding two separate inter-charter competitions; best designed cakes and most money raised, brought out the QAS fierce minds to be creative when designing their cakes and when attracting sales! Each charter took the event very seriously and showed great team work to make their stalls the most appealing to their customers. There was even innovation in walking around The Space going directly to people and offering cakes for sale!

QAS was full of sugar and spirit to showcase for an amazing cause, and we can proudly announce the results...

Macmillan money raised:

1st Pankhurst- £158, 2nd Curie- £144, 3rd Franklin- £90, 4th Austen- £84, 5th Watson- £82

Resulting in an incredible £558 raised!

Macmillan best cake, stall and sales:

1st Curie, 2nd Watson, 3rd Franklin, 4th Pankhurst, 5th Austen

Well done to everyone, a brilliant effort and an amazing amount raised.
