Congratulations to our L6 team for winning first place at the Micro-Tyco Final on Wednesday!
Micro-Tyco is a leading global entrepreneurship competition which challenges young people to develop innovative solutions to address The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This challenge asks young people to identify an issue that is important to them, their school or their local community and after 30 days of project development, top performing teams are then invited to pitch their ideas to a global judging panel.
Team member Emma had this to say:
"I had a great time ... I particularly enjoyed planning our pitch to showcase our idea of building a vertical green wall in school to work towards the UN's sustainability goals 11 and 13. I also enjoyed listening to the other schools' projects and the goals which they chose to focus on, to make a difference in their local community. We were very pleased to be crowned winners of the competition, and I feel like it has taught us valuable skills - particularly in public speaking."
