A Level Business Trip to BMW Mini

Trips Sixth Form

QAS A Level Business students went to an exciting trip to the BMW Mini Oxford factory on Thursday 17 November.

They had an extremely informative tour around the facility – seeing intricate processes in action such as ‘body in white’ (where the car body’s frame is put together), paint and final assembly.

They were astounded by the fact that over 90% of the entire process is automated.

Fun facts: every 20 seconds of robotic activity requires 1.5 hours of programming, and the Oxford Mini factory produces an average of 1000 new cars daily!

Thank you so much for having us #bmwmini 😊
