A round-up of the latest sports news for the end of Michaelmas Term 2019.
Badminton
Holly and Emma R (L4) competed in the Aldershot and Camberley District Badminton League (ACDBL) U12 and U16 doubles tournament in Surrey. This is a tournament open to players from junior clubs in Surrey and Berkshire.
Emma won U12B grade mixed and girls doubles and Holly won the U12A grade girls doubles.
Holly also competed in the U16A grade mixed and girls doubles, even though she is only an U12…so playing against players in years 10 and 11 at school!
In the mixed doubles they only narrowly lost in the final 19-21, so she was the runner up in both the mixed and girls doubles at U16A grade level. Quite an achievement!
Netball
The senior first team travelled to Brighton to face the formidable Hurstpierpoint College on Wednesday in the 4th round of the Independent Schools National Netball Cup.
A high performance match with some excellent netball from both teams:

Tennis
We are incredibly proud to announce that Queen Anne’s School has won the Berkshire LTA Education Award for 2019!
This award recognises all the work, led by Mrs Page, that goes into the curriculum, extra-curricular and coaching programme to develop tennis at Queen Anne’s.
It also reflects our continued support of the Schools Team Tennis Competition, and the success of our Girls Yr 7/8 teams winning the Regional competition.
Crerar Quaiche Team of The Term
This term the Crerar Quaiche for the team of the term goes to the U13 tennis team, who beat The Abbey to take the Berkshire title. They then went on to beat several other schools including Wycombe Abbey and Portsmouth High School to become the regional winners across the whole of Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Congratulations girls!
