On Wednesday 26 November, we were delighted to welcome Patrick Grant to Queen Anne’s. Renowned for his work on The Great British Sewing Bee and his sustainable fashion brand Community Clothing, Patrick is a leading advocate for environmental responsibility in the clothing industry.

He spoke to our A Level students in Art, Media, Business, Economics, English, and Geography, sharing insights from his journey from studying engineering to a career in fashion, the impact of fast fashion on the environment, and how we can make more mindful choices in our clothing habits.

After his talk, Patrick joined our Art Scholars in the art department, where he watched them transform old QA aprons into new pieces, including jackets and collared shirts. During the session, he also saw student-designed garments created for our Recycle Fashion Show, which took place the following day.
