On Sunday 16 November, Queen Anne's had the privilege of hosting the England Lacrosse Schools Challenge Cup!
One of the biggest days in the lacrosse calendar, the School Challenge Cup sees the top 8 school teams in the country compete in a full-day tournament. Guildford High School, Withington Girls' School, Godolphin, Downe House, Westonbirt, St Catherine's Bramley and Moreton Hall made up the competition along with Queen Anne's - all qualifying through being quarter-finalists at March's National Championships where QA left as champions earlier this year.

The attendance from families, staff and students was incredible, creating an atmosphere to be deeply proud of as hosts. Pizzas and hotdogs were on offer alongside the QA Horsebox, QA bobble hats were plentiful on the touchline and everyone gave their full voice in support of our First Team.
The First Team produced a determined and disciplined performance throughout the cup. Despite two hard-fought 2-3 defeats, they finished the day with a 6-2 win to finish in 5th place. QA delivered one of the standout defensive performances of the entire competition, conceding fewer goals than any other team on the day. The tournament showcased enormous potential, and now it's about converting that promise into scoring power with the full intention of defending that National Champions title in March next year!

A huge thank you to England Lacrosse, the grounds team for the immaculate pitches on the day, all the staff who helped run the event so smoothly and of course our Sports Staff and Lacrosse team who continue to maintain their incredible standard.
