The L4s enjoyed a wonderful trip to Stratford-upon-Avon this week, with glorious sunshine making the day even more special.

The girls began their visit at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, the beautiful 500-year-old home of Shakespeare’s wife, whom he married at the age of 18. They explored the historic cottage and its stunning gardens before heading into town to discover more about the life of one of England’s greatest writers.

The next stop was Shakespeare’s Birthplace, where the girls stepped inside the very rooms where Shakespeare was born and saw the cot where he slept as a baby. They also visited the site of the grand house Shakespeare built later in life after becoming a successful playwright.

It was a fantastic trip, with so much history and culture discovered in just a few hours - and there was even time for a well-deserved ice cream stop!
