On Thursday 12 December, Queen Anne’s came alive with the much-loved annual tradition of Bust Up!
This year’s theme, Icons, saw students bring their favourite characters and celebrities to life. From Dorothy and Ed Sheeran to group costumes featuring The Minions and Trolls, the imagination and effort on display were truly impressive.

True to tradition, the staff surprised everyone with their own hidden theme: Childhood TV Shows. The Maths Department appeared as Scooby and the Gang, the Senior Leadership and Management Team as the Mr Men characters, and even a visit all the way from Springfield with The Simpsons!

A standout moment of the day was the eagerly awaited Yearovision, where each year group performed a song from the Nativity Film Series. Guided expertly by the Senior Prefect team, the performances were diverse, engaging, and all round brilliant.

The celebrations continued with student-led videos, as Lower Fifth to Upper Sixth students recreated British reality shows, including The Traitors and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. Each were hilarious and as always with guest appearances from staff!
The afternoon wrapped up in the sports hall, transformed by the Sixth Form into a vibrant silent disco.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the Senior Prefect Team and Sixth Form for their dedication in organising and running this treasured Queen Anne’s tradition.
