This year, Queen Anne’s School held two Speech Day events, celebrating the achievements of our students. Held separately for the Senior School (U5–U6) and Junior School (L4–L5), each event reflected the unique spirit and successes of our students.
The Senior Speech Day began with a special Chapel service for our Upper Sixth leavers, led by Reverend Rachel.
In the Sports Hall, the Jazzabelles opened the event with music, and Chair of Governors Margaret Corbally welcomed guests. A dynamic mix of dance and drama performances and reflections followed, with reports on sport, the arts, and academics.
A standout moment was a speech from QAS alumna Annabelle Akintoye (Class of 2014), now captain of England’s Box Lacrosse team, who urged students to embrace the question 'What if?' rather than the more common 'What's Next?' in shaping their futures.
The Junior Speech Day, held in the Performing Arts Centre, featured speeches from each year group, celebrating a year of growth and achievement. Guest speaker and alumna Molly Skiel, Class of 2022 and currently studying Medicine at Oxford University, shared inspiring messages of perseverance and passion.
Performances included a scene from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, as well as music and dance that showcased the students' energy and creativity.
As we conclude this year’s celebrations, we extend our sincerest appreciation to all who contributed to its success. To our wonderful students, passionate staff, supportive parents, dedicated governors, and esteemed guests, we thank you for being an integral part of our Queen Anne's School community.
We wish our leavers every success as they look ahead with Kind Hearts, Fierce Minds and Strong Spirits.
