SFX Make-Up Workshop

Natalie Titchner and her assistant Laura came in to QAS as part of Arts Week to run a special effects makeup session with the A level and GCSE Drama students. Natalie is currently the Head of Costume at the Sonning Mill, she has also worked with The National Theatre, The Royal Opera House and Disney.

Natalie demonstrated how to create Zombie make up using colour wheels, wax and fake blood. The students then took to the paints themselves and started turning eachother into zombies!

The students had a brilliant time experimenting with the materials to make wounds and bruises.

They also learned how to age a costume to make it look authentic and how blood bags are used in the costumes!
