Biology STEM

The L4s were set another fun challenge, to have a break from their screens and explore the nature and biology in their own gardens and outside areas - a Flower Power Photography Competition!

Students had to take and submit one fantastic photograph of a flower. The most original, unique, stunning photograph would be the winner!

This competition was also in preparation for their topic on plant reproduction, and a chance to examine the amazing array of flower designs that nature has created.

The girls themselves voted for the overall winners:

 1st place - Esha D

 2nd place - Caitlin M

 Joint 3rd place - Mary B and Annabel W

Congratulations Esha and well done on your beautiful photo! Well done to all of the girls for taking part. You can have a look at some more of the wonderful competition entries below.

Our L6 biologists, headed up by our Science Prefects Jazz B and Ellen G, also got involved to support and inspire the L4s – a lovely joint community, cross year challenge. There was even a guest appearance by Coco the dog, and of course a wonderful entry from Mrs Watson!
