The Music Department’s Spring Extravaganza Concert showcased the diversity of student talent across the school.
The concert opened with the Concert Band, followed by the Junior String Quartet performing Haydn’s Minuet and Can’t Take My Eyes Off You. The Flute Group played Phil the Fluter and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, while QAS Voices performed Fix You and a Hairspray medley.
Student ensembles kept the energy high with Inedible performing Smells Like Teen Spirit, the Saxoholics tackling Mission Impossible and I Got Rhythm, and Lower 4 delivering Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.
After the interval, the Jazzabelles swung with Eye of the Tiger and Green Onions, and the Consort Choir moved the audience with Dancing Queen and You Are The Reason.
Senior ensembles closed the evening with the Senior String Quartet, the String Sinfonia and solos by the Chamber and Sixth Form Choirs.
The evening celebrated musical talent, collaboration, and student dedication. Congratulations to all performers and the Music Department for an outstanding event.
