Screams and cries were heard emanating from the PAC late into the night on Wednesday 9 January! But there was no cause for alarm as it was only the A level drama girls enthusiastically engaged in a stage fighting workshop with professional stuntman Mark Ruddick.
Mark worked for nearly three hours with the 8 students, teaching them the “proper” way to do stage punches, kicks and strangleholds. Mark, whose recent film credits include Warhorse, Skyfall and Wonder Woman, gave the girls great praise, saying:
The girls were so full of energy and commitment; they are an absolute credit to the school
Further masterclasses are planned for the girls, including a session with actor Jessica Webber, a former Head Girl at Queen Anne’s. After leaving us, Jess trained at RADA and the Drama Centre. She has recently finished an extensive tour of the UK as a principal role in Dracula.
