The Michell House boarders had a very busy and exciting first weekend of term, packed with activities, new experiences, and plenty of opportunities to bond.
On Friday, the first day of term, everyone met their tutors and attended a few introductory lessons. The day ended on a high note with an evening of in-house BINGO, giving the girls a chance to laugh together and start building friendships within their house.
Saturday began with lacrosse and netball trials, where the girls showed great enthusiasm and teamwork. In the afternoon, they enjoyed a trip to Caversham, exploring the local area, getting to know the nearby shops, and picking up treats for the evening. The day rounded off with a relaxed movie night at Café 6, where they watched High School Musical, complete with popcorn.
On Sunday, the girls had a delicious brunch in The Restaurant before heading to Reading for a three-hour shopping trip. This gave them the chance to explore the town centre while helping new boarders become familiar with the area. Back at school, they had some time to relax before joining a team-building session led by Mr Towse, who organised games to strengthen their connections. The weekend finished with a cozy night in Michell House, bringing a wonderful first weekend to a close.
