Strong Spirits

Queen Anne's School celebrated another vibrant Sports Day last Wednesday, showcasing students’ skill and determination in numerous sports including, track, high jump, discuss and more

The relay events saw Pankhurst win the junior category, Austen the intermediate, Curie the senior, and in the staff relay, the Estates team triumphed.

Noteworthy performances included multiple gold medallists: Tianna (4) and Olivia (4) in the junior category, Liv (L5), Olufunmi (U4), and Lucy (U4) in the intermediate, and Alice (U6). and Elise (U5) in the senior category.



This year saw the introduction of the Burley Cup, honouring Miss Cox's predecessor, Nicola Burley who showed up to present the award herself! Eloise (L5) received the Cup for exemplifying the true spirit of the event, stepping up for her Charter in the 1500m and shot putt despite not being a regular competitor. 

Austen emerged victorious with 266 points, followed by Curie, Pankhurst, Franklin, and Watson.

Well done to everyone who took part in the afternoon, whether you are a seasoned sports woman or if you stepped out of your comfort zone to represent your Charter, everyone showcased Queen Anne’s spirit!
