Queen Anne's School is delighted to announce that House Parents, Heidi and Gary Blunt are shortlisted finalists of the BSA Stephen Winkley Award, an award that commends the achievements of those who have made a significant contribution to the cause of boarding.
Here at Queen Anne’s we have teams of dedicated and caring House staff in all four of our boarding houses. The House Parents, Deputy House Parents, Matrons and Graduate Assistants all go the extra mile to ensure our boarders have a happy and safe place to grow as individuals.
Mr and Mrs Blunt have been here at QAS since September 2014 and have made a lasting impact on the lives of many of the students who have lived within their boarding houses. They have recently become the boarding House Parents of Michell after the restructuring of the boarding house system last September, welcoming girls from Lower 4, 4 and Upper 4 (Years 7, 8 & 9) into the Junior Boarding House. Evenings and weekends are packed with fun activities and parents provide glowing reviews on how well their daughter has settled in to life at boarding school, grown in confidence and blossomed.
The winner of the award will be announced at the beginning of May. Congratulations to all the finalists and everyone at QAS is looking forward to the results.
