Queen Anne’s School is delighted to announce an exceptional set of GCSE results with 50% of grades achieved at 9/8 (A*) and 75% of grades at 9-7 (A*- A). Headmistress, Julia Harrington said “These results celebrate the dedication and commitment of this year group. We are especially proud of these students who have done exceptionally well, under the strangest of circumstances and I am in no doubt that they will carry this determination and resilience into their sixth form studies and the next stage of their lives.”

Queen Anne’s are delighted to report that 5 students achieved all top grades (9/8/A*) with a further 22 students (31%) achieving all 9-7 (A*- A). Strong grades were achieved in many subjects, including all of the STEM subjects with 73% of Biology, 76% of Chemistry, 63% of Physics, 71% of Maths grades and 66% in Computer Science achieving 9 - 7 (A*- A).

100% of students achieved 9-4 (A*-C) across all subjects including Classical Civilization, Physical Education, Spanish, German, Russian, Drama, Dance, Geography, Religious Studies and History.

In keeping with previous years, students did well across STEM subjects and many will be continuing these studies at A level. Zara who has recently been shortlisted for a prestigious Arkwright Engineering Scholarship was thoroughly pleased with her results as she achieved nine 9’s and one 8, completing 10 GCSE’s in total. Zara is going on to study Maths, Physics and Economics with the hope of studying Mechanical Engineering at University in the future. Olive, who took her Math’s GCSE earlier in the year achieved a fantastic eleven 9’s and is looking forward to going on to study Chemistry, Maths and Economics at sixth form next year.

Known for our fantastic creative provision with first class Music and Drama facilities, including the new Scott Music Centre. This reflected in the results for these subjects with results of 9/8 (A*) for 70% of Drama students and 9-7 (A* - A) for 66% of the students taking this subject. Talented musician Molly, who achieved A* for her A level Music in 2019, is going onto study at sixth form after achieving a straight set of 9/8 (A*) grades in subjects including History, Geography and Chinese.
