At Queen Anne’s we value our girls as individuals and strive to help them reach their potential. We believe that having a wide and varied co-curricular programme will support and encourage our girls to build confidence, stretch their abilities and achieve their goals. Our Co-curricular activities have no charge and take place during prep time, while our Extra-curricular lessons and activities have a fee and take place during the school week.

We want QAS girls to have the best opportunities and to be enthusiastic and pro-active about how they spend their co-curricular time.

Developing over the years

In the lower years, the focus is on enjoyment. We aim for the girls to have a broad and balanced experience and learn how to make the most of co-curricular time and opportunities. In middle school, we support the girls to further develop their interests by offering new activities. There is greater focus on gaining qualifications and preparation for adult life. From Upper 5 (Year 11) to Upper Sixth (Year 13), students learn how to maintain a positive balance between activities, academic performance, qualifications and giving back to the school community.

In partnership with pupils

We work with pupils to develop a programme that is interesting to them. The girls are invited to give feedback and present new ideas. As one parent suggested “If my daughter wanted to do inter-house under-water basket-weaving, I know that Queen Anne’s could make it happen!”.

Activities on offer

An up-to-date co-curricular timetable will be available via school planners and tutor groups at the start of the school year. A digital co-curricular booking form will be available to parents via MySchoolPortal.
