Queen Anne's School Transport Information

Queen Anne's offers an extensive local transport network and a dedicated London transport service. We aim to offer the service to as many students as possible, so they are able to reach school and return home in a safe and timely manner. At the end of each academic year, Queen Anne's liaise with the transport providers to review parental bookings for their daughters. Our transport services are modified accordingly, taking into consideration new stopping points where possible.

New starters can book transport via OpenApply around the Easter prior to their daughter starting with us. New parents who wish to book their daughters onto the school transport service are asked to complete and submit their form by the May/June half-term.

The Travel Providers

White Knights Travel

Queen Anne’s has used White Knights Travel for many years. White Knights Travel, based in Maidenhead, provides a range of high standard vehicles and drivers who all hold appropriate PCV licenses, are all DBS checked to an enhanced level and are subject to annual training. 

Joiners Taxis

Joiners Taxis work with Queen Anne’s to provide a transport service to South Oxfordshire. The areas included are Sutton Courtenay, Brightwell-cum-Sotwell, Nettlebed, Stoke Row and Peppard. Drivers are fully licenced, DBS checked and have received safeguarding training in order to provide exceptional standards of safety, courtesy and efficiency.

Local Service Booking & Prices

Prices vary depending on your daughter's pick-up location and frequency of weekly journeys booked. However, prices are reduced for bookings of 6 journeys or less per week. The transport charges are added in advance to your daughter's bill each term, except for the Michaelmas Term (Sept-Dec), which are billed in arrears. 

Book your daughter's transport via OpenApply, parents will be contacted via email to confirm receipt of their online booking form. An ad hoc booking system is available for parents that do not require the school transport on a regular basis. 

Please note that girls without prior parental bookings are not authorised to travel.

Cancellation Notice Period

Queen Anne's School requires a full half-term's written notice sent to [email protected] to end their daughter's use of the school transport service. 

QAS London Transport Network

Queen Anne’s offers a service for students travelling from London to the school. The service runs on Monday mornings and Friday afternoons, it is most commonly used by the students who board on a Flexi basis, however, it is open to all girls.

Friday Afternoon Timetable

Arrival times may vary due to traffic. Parents / guardians are asked to be ready at their daughters stop in advance to prevent delays to the onward journey. 

Monday Morning Timetable

To help prevent delays the girls are requested to be at their pick-up point 5 minutes before the departure time shown. The driver cannot wait beyond the departure time as this will cause onward delays.

Parents are required to book the London Service in advance, by 9am on the Thursday before the Friday afternoon or Monday morning's travel. After this time, seats cannot be guaranteed. Please note that girls without prior parental bookings are not authorised to travel.

London Service Booking & Prices

• £25.00 per single journey

The charges will be added to your daughter’s school bill. If a booked journey is not cancelled, the charge will still stand.
