U5 Army Activity Day

Wednesday 6th July 2016

Following the late night of the U5 ‘Welcome to Sixth Form’ Prom, the girls were called into action by the Army’s Outreach Team, who visited Queen Anne’s to run a day of leadership and team working activities on Tuesday 5 July.

Working in groups, the girls tackled a variety of collaborative, physical tasks, each of which required some thought, patience and ingenuity. Alongside the more traditional activities, the girls were also introduced to the Army’s Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, engaging in real life armed forces scenarios such as a parachute jump.

It was a great opportunity for the girls to relax as a year group and have some fun while simultaneously pushing themselves out of their comfort zones: the perfect combination!
