Monday 17th October 2016

Congratulations to Eleanor Blois-Brooke who competed in the Burway Rowing Club Small Boats Head and won the Women’s J16A coxless quad event with three other girls from Shiplake Vikings and the Women’s J15A single scull event.

The U13 netball matches on Tuesday 11 October vs St Helen and St Katharine were pretty even with two wins and two losses. The U12 matches on Thursday 13 October were a real challenge for the U12 team and whilst they played with great determination, they were on the defensive throughout the matches. The full results were as follows:

  • U13A: 11-9 (win)
  • U13B: 6-5 (win)
  • U13 C: 4-6 (loss)
  • U13D: 1-2 (loss)
  • U12A: 3-39 (loss)
  • U12B: 3-5 (loss)
  • U12C: 3-5 (loss)
  • U12D: 1-11 (loss)
  • U12 E: (6-10) loss

Last weekend, there were ten matches played against St Catherine’s School in Bramley. At the Senior level, the matches were hard fought and challenging but it was pleasing that several of the teams managed to keep the score line close. The U13A team and the three U12 teams all won their matches which bodes well for the future.

Finally there has been a new addition to the PE department over the weekend. We send our best wishes to Mrs D’amaro-Johnston following the arrival of a little baby girl.
