Queen Anne’s Competes in Cricket Festival

Wednesday 20th June 2018

Queen Anne’s were represented by a mixture of u12 and u13 girls of a mixed ability, making up Queen Anne’s Pink A team and Queen Anne’s Purple B team.

All Queen Anne’s girls started and finished with an outstanding manner, comfortably winning all of their matches. Queen Anne’s Pink were led by captain Lucy B and she did so with class. The opposition Leighton Park voted Katie L as best fielder and Bo D as best batswoman. Commended must go to Lucy B for not only displaying exceptional skill, but for leading the team throughout the day.

Queen Anne’s purple were led by Izzy I. She stayed motivated throughout the day and was extremely helpful to the players who had experienced little cricket competition. The purple team found their form very early on in the game, with good formation which stopped Leighton Park from scoring big runs. The opposition Leighton Park voted Katia L as best fielder and Franky B as best batswoman. Commended must go to Louisa H and Luisa B for sustaining high skill throughout batting and fielding.

An enjoyable day with two victories! Queen Anne’s A- 1st place. Queen Anne’s B- 2nd place. Well done and thank you to all who represented the school.
