Consort Choir at Winchester Cathedral

Friday 4th May 2018

The Consort Choir performed Evensong during the service at Winchester Cathedral. The service lasted for about 45 minutes, the girls enjoyed the experience so much that Alice I (U6) wished to thank her teacher Mr Padley for organising the event and giving the choir members the opportunity to sing in a building that has many centuries of history and worship.

The choir sang the St. Edmundsbury Service by contemporary UK composer Will Todd. It was also great to have Ellie T (U5) play an organ piece before the service began. Congratulations to all involved for such wonderful singing to Dr Passmore for his organ playing.

Our music department has been rather busy this Trinity term, however, we want to make sure that our girls are always recognised for their efforts within any extra-curricular activities. You can read up on the fantastic achievements in music here.
