Queen Anne’s students have achieved an exceptional set of GCSE Value Added results, with our latest data showing that, on average, students achieved a whole grade higher than their baseline predictions.
Value Added looks beyond headline exam results to measure the progress each student makes. By comparing final GCSE outcomes with grades predicted from students’ individual starting points, it gives a powerful picture of how much progress they have made during their time at Queen Anne’s.
And this is not a one-off achievement. Last year, Queen Anne’s ranked 5th nationally for pupil progress using CEM data. This year, our students have gone even further.
Calculated by the University of Cambridge, the measure draws upon years of data gathered from hundreds of predominantly independent schools, providing a robust benchmark against which student progress can be understood.
For us, this result represents something particularly important: the impact of exceptional teaching.
At Queen Anne’s, students are known as individuals. Our teachers understand their strengths, recognise where they can be stretched and give them the support and encouragement to aim higher. To see our students achieving, on average, an entire grade beyond their baseline predictions is a remarkable reflection of that expertise, dedication and ambition in the classroom.
We are immensely proud of our students and enormously grateful to the teachers who challenge, inspire and support them every day to achieve beyond expectations.
