Music Maestros

Monday 22nd September 2014

Queen Anne’s musicians have had a busy time over the summer break attaining numerous musical achievements:

  • L6 student, Gabrielle, gained her Higher Certificate in Musical Awareness from the Guildhall School of Music and commendations for her composition work alongside a fantastic set of GCSE results.
  • Gabrielle then attended one of the Eton Choral courses alongside Alexandra, L6 with both students gaining valuable experiences.
  • Fellow L6 student Sophie attended the National Youth Training Choir course.
  • The Music department are delighted to welcome new L6 student Alycia, who  is very involved with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra where she is one of their lead saxophonists.
  • Lydia, L6, spent a month living and studying Italian in Florence in order to enhance her language skills for her singing studies at The Royal Academy.

Finally, former Queen Anne’s student, Constance Peterson, gained her DipABRSM for Singing and has just commenced her medical studies at St Andrew’s University.

Well done to all!
