U5 Trip to the University of Bath

Tuesday 7th February 2017

On Wednesday 1 February, the U5 visited the University of Bath where they were given a campus tour and heard from Student Ambassadors.

‘We set off to Bath University on Wednesday morning. Everyone one was bubbling with excitement. When we arrived, we were greeted by two ambassadors who took us to have a talk about ‘Why we should go to University’. This made us face the reality and realise the importance of our GCSE’s and A Levels and how hard we have to work to get to where we want to be. It also highlighted how much choice we have in what we can study at University, ranging from, English to International Economical Development. We were given a tour around the campus and shown features of Bath University. Everyone really liked the Sports Centre with the Olympic sized pool and we were all shocked at the size of the lecture halls. The ambassadors gave us an insight into University life and told us about their experience at University. It was really interesting to learn about all of the different career paths that we can take and the independence you are given when at University.’
