U4s Impress Everyone on their Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award Expedition

52 U4 Queen Anne’s girls really set the standards in Ashdown Forest over the weekend.

Not only was it Sam Sykes staff singing their praises this time but the general public too. Mr Blunt received complement after complement from passers-by and other campers about the girls manners and outdoor etiquette over both the Saturday and Sunday in the beautiful Sussex countryside and weather.

All the girls passed their two day assessment covering a whole array of different standards to be reached. Generally, navigation was hugely impressive and the whole group impressed with competent camp craft and set the bar when it came to leadership and a sense of togetherness. Mr Blunt and Miss Marsh could not have been prouder of the girls. Mr Blunt reported back.

Queen Anne’s girls are not only resilient and amazingly cheerful in the outdoors but they are absolutely thoroughly decent young people who make my day whenever I am with them.’


Mr Blunt would like to thank Miss Marsh for supporting the girls throughout the weekend. Miss Marsh walked the entire route acting as a great role model to the girls.
