U4 Year Group Bond At Bushcraft Team Building Day

Thursday 6th October 2016

On Tuesday 27 September, the U4 year group went on a Bushcraft Team Building Day to Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire.

After leaving the coach, the girls met their instructors for the day and walked along a very muddy track to the camp site where they were to spend the day. It was a very basic camp site with some tents for overnight visitors. It seemed a long way from anywhere!

Pupils gathered in a large open tent with a fire in the middle which was great as it was rather a cool day. Girls were then split into groups and worked alongside each other to complete different tasks. The exercises were lots of fun and gave pupils the opportunity to make new friends. Following the day, some of our girls commented on the day’s events:

“It was a very interesting experience being out in the wilderness and learning new things.”

“We learnt the different ways to make a fire, how to set a trap and we cooked our own lunch.”

“Overall the day was great fun and a great new experience!”
