The U18 Queen Anne’s Tennis Team Finish 8th at the Aegon Tennis Finals

Tuesday 14th March 2017

Bella Bowater, Eliza McCreery, Georgie Evans and Kate Hillas reached the national finals of the AGEON competition after qualifying from their knockout rounds and finished a very respectable 8th!

They travelled to Bolton for two nights over the weekend to play their finals. After a 4 hour train journey, dinner at Frankie and Benny’s and a stay in a Premier Inn, they were set to play.

The competition was strong and at a high standard and they played schools including Strathalen and Ellesmere. All the girls fought hard which was helped by the encouragement from Miss Armstrong and Miss O’Brien. Queen Anne’s played 18 matches in total and therefore all girls were exhausted after the competition. Overall, the team placed 8th nationally out of 300 teams entered.

Well Done Girls!
