Shining Drama Success for Caitlin!

Thursday 4th October 2018

The summer may be in the dim and distant past now, but the sun is still shining for Caitlin B (U5).

Queen Anne’s Scholar Caitlin recently participated in a workshop audition at the prestigious Royal Court Theatre in London for a place on its week-long acting course over half term. At just 15, Caitlin was by far the youngest successful participant (with all the others being between the ages of 18 – 25) and she will spend half term working with a professional director and actors at the theatre. The course will culminate with a performance near the end of October.

“Queen Anne’s has helped me grow in confidence and I am so grateful to Mr Punter who gave me the support I needed when I decided to audition.” said Caitlin.  “I am really excited about learning new dramatic techniques, since the workshop is based on grime music in South London, and this is an area I am not familiar with.”

Head of Drama, Mr Punter, told us: “No one is more deserving of this success than Caitlin, and the fact that she was the youngest successful applicant is a credit to her maturity and confidence as a performer.”
