Scarlette Rows the Regatta

Friday 14th June 2019

L5 student Scarlette R took part in the National Schools Regatta with her crew on Friday 24 May.

Her crew qualified for the C Final (for those crews that finished between 13th and 18th in the qualifying time trial).

Scarlette’s crew then finished second in that race, narrowly being beaten by the winner by just a fraction of a second!

Overall, they came 14th out of 68 entrants, but also with the satisfaction of having rowed that race faster than 3 crews in the contemporaneous A/ B semi finals, and so very close to top 10!

Scarlette will continue her rigorous training, and will now be focusing on qualification for the Home International Regatta at the Nottingham rowing lake, in July.

Congratulations Scarlette, and good luck with the rest of your training!
