Rosie and Gabby Meet the Stars!…

Monday 26th September 2016

Queen Anne’s stars of drama and music, Rosie Dart (Drama) and Gabby Woodward (Music), have been rubbing shoulders with some stars of stage and screen recently. The girls had seen Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart performing in Pinter’s “No Man’s Land” in London. In typical Queen Anne’s fashion, the girls managed to get an invitation to go backstage after the show where they spent some time chatting to Sir Ian and Sir Patrick. Rosie said “they were both really lovely and seemed genuinely interested in what Gabby and I were up to.”

Rosie, who gained an A* in her A Level Drama over the summer is about to leave for Durham University where she has been awarded the Vice Chancellor’s scholarship for Drama.

Not to be outdone, the other girls who did A Level Drama this year, both of whom got A grades, are also pursuing further education in drama: Caitlin Croke will be training and performing with the highly-regarded Fourth Monkey Theatre Company in London and Alice Knott will be reading Drama at Kent University.
