Results (A) Swimming vs Downe House, U14, U13

Thursday 26th November 2015

Our U14 and U13 swim teams travelled to Downe House on Wednesday 25 November and enjoyed two very competitive age group contests in the water. Downe House narrowly edged victory in the final races.

Queen Anne’s girls impressed with some stand out performances throughout the gala. Highlights were the four wins that Amber Richards and Georgina Lewis shared between them and Queen Anne’s also won three of the four relay races in a very exciting fashion. Mr Blunt was delighted with the overall performance and would like to highlight the very young squad who represented the school (five out of the eight U14 team were 4s) and the U13 team consisted mainly of L4 swimmers.

The future of swimming at Queen Anne’s is in good hands with the girls. They have huge potential and great character and are a lovely bunch to work with. Mr Blunt would like to pay tribute to Chloe Butterwick, Scarlette Rijkse and Tallulah Jackson Coombs, all of whom came into the team very late on and all did a terrific job – covering injuries, illness and unavailability due to other sporting commitments. We have more swimming fixtures to look forward to in the coming Lent Term.
