A round up of the latest Sports News from Queen Anne’s in the week commencing 28 November.


Congratulations to Georgie Walker who has been selected to play for the Berkshire U15 Hockey Team after several weeks of very competitive trials. As Georgie is still in the U14 age category, this is an extremely admirable achievement!

Congratulations to Amelia Shaw who came 2nd at the National Trampolining League Finals, the weekend before last, at the Velodrome on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

On the Saturday, the top 24 competed for one of 8 places in Sunday’s final. She came 4th and moved on into the final where she PB’d in every are of scoring and as a result was awarded the Silver medal.

This week, eleven lacrosse matches were played in a triangular fixture with St.Bartholomew’s and Sherborne Girls school. There was some fantastic teamwork on display and the girls really showed what they were capable of as they won all eleven matches.

QA vs St Bartholomew’s School

U13A: Won 22-3
U14A: Won 15-5
U15A: Won 14-3
U18A: Won 13-2
U18B: Won 7-4

QA vs Sherborne

U14A: Won 10-1
U14B: Won 7-1
U15A: Won 15-5
U15B: Won 16-1
U18A: Won 10-2
U18B: Won 11-1


Netball matches this week were against Holyport College. The U16 A and B team played exceptionally well as the darkness closed in, winning both matches.

U16A: Won 20-7
U16B: Won 13-3
