Queen Anne’s Girls are Top of the Class

On Thursday 29 June, the Queen Anne’s U16 and U14 athletics team’s featured in the Reading Chronicle for their outstanding efforts at the Reading Schools athletic Championships.

Queen Anne’s came out on top in both age categories at Palmer Park narrowly beating The Abbey. Unfortunately at U13 level, the roles were reversed and The Abbey came out on top.

Zara Obamakinwa broke the championship record for U14 discus which has stood since 1999 and was held by a former Queen Anne’s pupil, Julia Weatherley.

Well done to all the girls who competed and scored points for their teams.
