Queen Anne’s Dancers visit the ‘Move It’ Dance Exhibition

Tuesday 14th March 2017

On Saturday 11 March, Queen Anne’s dance company members and the GCSE dancers visited the ‘Move It’ Dance Exhibition at the London Excel.

It was a busy day with lots to see and do. The girls took part in 2 dance classes each and we encouraged them all to try a new style of dance such as Jamaican dancehall and hip hop.

They even tried out some parkour!

There were some well known celebrities in attendance such as Ashley Banjo from Diversity and Kimberly Wyatt, but the best was Darcey Bussell! (Mrs Powell’s idol!!) who we got a selfie with!!

There was a number of live performances from dance colleges and universities on the main stage which were very inspiring to watch.

The day gave the girls plenty of opportunities to develop their training, experience new genres and learn and work with different teachers.
