QA Old Girl Olivia Paige Named in England & GB Women’s Hockey Squad

Monday 23rd January 2017

Queen Anne’s Old Girl Olivia Paige has been named in coach Danny Kerry’s central squad to lead England and Great Britain into the new Olympic cycle, which starts in earnest.

After the women’s Great Britain Hockey team won gold in the Rio Olympics, coach Danny Kerry has named his 33-woman squad that will lead England and Great Britain into the next cycle. There are 15 new members joining the central programme, of which Olivia is one, who will be joining twelve of the 19 athletes who went to Rio.

Seen as the elite of the youth development programme, Olivia and her peers will be looking to achieve the stated aim of Winning After Winning. The programme at Bisham Abbey is funded by UK Sport and the National Lottery, with significant support from other lead sponsors.

Everyone at Queen Anne’s would like to wish Olivia the best of luck in her journey towards the Olympic Games in Tokyo and we are all very proud.
