National Youth Theatre Success For Annabel
Thursday 21st April 2016
Hardly a week into term and already Dramaramaland has something to shout about! Sixth Form Drama Scholar, Annabel Marlow, has just heard the news that she has been successful in her auditions for the National Youth Theatre. Annabel was one of about 5,000 wannabes who auditioned for one of the 40 places available and she will work with a professional director and actors over a two-week period in the summer holidays at the NYT base in London.
Dramaramaland has had excellent success in recent years in students gaining places at NYT and, after leaving school, various drama schools (including RADA, Royal Central and the Drama Centre). In addition to all of this, U6 drama student, Rosie Dart, has won a place at the National Youth Musical Theatre and she has already spent time working with the rest of the company rehearsing a production which will be performed at the Rose Theatre in London in the summer.
Mr Rhodri Punter, Head of Drama, said:
“It is fantastic to see such hard-working and well-deserving girls reap the rewards of their effort.”
