L4 perform ‘Beasts of England’ from Animal Farm

Tuesday 25th June 2019

Our L4 English students have been studying George Orwell’s famous novel Animal Farm.

They decided to put on a special performance of the song ‘Beasts of England’, a song sung by the animals to keep the spirit of rebellion alive within the farm.

The girls wore animal masks to become a chorus of farm animals, with two of our aspiring guitarists accompanying the rebellion song:

“Beasts of England, beasts of Ireland,
Beasts of every land and clime,
Hearken to my joyful tidings,
Of the golden future time.”
