ISTD Exam Success for Queen Anne’s Dancers
Thursday 12th January 2017
The dance department at Queen Anne’s received the results from the two exam sessions that nearly 30 girls took last term and we are pleased to announce that every girl passed to a very high standard.
Ballet exams were taken at the ISTD headquarters in London and modern, tap and jazz exams were held here in our studios in December.
All girls passed the exams and there were some particularly high results for modern, jazz and tap with Madeleine Pavey attaining 90 and Bella Farlow attaining 87 for their tap exams. There was also a small number of girls who took more than one exam and in particular, Sophie Bailey, who took an exam in all three genres last term. Well done for staying so focused at such a busy time of year!
Our next exam session will be in June which will be modern and jazz.
There is still lots to look forward to in dance this term with a choreography and performance workshop for the GCSE dance students with the highly regarded Matthew Bourne company dancers, a trip to “Move It” dance exhibition and the dance companies will be busy working towards their performance at this years’ Lift Off Dance festival in March.
Congratulations to all those girls who took an exam last term!
