Thursday 22nd November 2018
The five Foundation schools, Grey Coat Hospital, Westminster City, Emanuel, Sutton Valence and Queen Anne’s joined forces to present an evening of music and readings to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of the 1st World War.
The concert was held at St John’s, Hyde Park in London, on Thursday 8 November.
Each school offered an item which ranged from a full orchestral piece to solo items and readings.
Queen Anne’s Consort Choir performed three anthems linked to Remembrance.
Finally the five schools joined together in a medley of WW1 songs finishing with the schools and audience singing For All the Saints to the wonderful tune ‘Sine Nomine’ by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
