Queen Anne’s alumna Eleanor Monbiot will give an inspiring lecture to our Sixth Form students about her work as Global Director of Operations for World Vision – the largest NGO in the world.
Having left Queen Anne’s School in 1988, Eleanor Monbiot spent her gap year in Kenya, which has since become her home. She completed a degree in Bio medical sciences, and later on a Masters from Imperial College in Development, and certificates from MIT and Berkeley. She has spent her whole career in the humanitarian and development industry, and received an OBE in 2005 for services to humanitarian affairs. Eleanor is currently the Global Director for Operations for the worlds largest NGO, World Vision, and is responsible for 72 countries, 32,000 staff and a budget of $1.9 billion.
